Gisela Torres is a london based multi disciplinary artist and arts educator. Trained as a photographer and filmmaker her practice focuses on presenting the dynamic interplay between traditional and emerging art forms to depict narratives of a personal nature where the familiar, mysterious and otherwordly co-exist. Through still and moving images, self-portraiture, performance, printmaking, sculpture, and new technologies she hopes to engage the viewer into a contemplative and reflective landscape with atmospheric and playful intention. Her work is anchored in the very process of making, to manifest the transference of the psyche and juxtapose the material with the immaterial. As a freelance arts educator she delivers talks and workshops on exhibitions, visual literacy and photography to young people, adults and outreach communities.
